Trevor Bauers Season Ends with Extension of His Leave

After negotiations between baseball’s league and players union, Trevor Bauer’s leave from the Los Angeles Dodgers has been extended through the end of the season.

Since June 28 when he was accused of sexual assault, Bauer has not pitched. His leave of absence began on July 2 and was extended multiple times.

Due to his new contract, he will not be available to pitch in 2021. On October 3, the season will officially conclude after 162 games.

Bauer’s representatives, Jon Fetterolf and Rachel Luba, released the following statement: “Today Mr. Bauer agreed to extend his administrative leave through the playoffs in a measure of good faith and to avoid any disruption to the Dodgers organisation and his teammates.”

He has continued to deny the false accusations made against him and cooperate with the MLB inquiry.

Again, administrative leave is not a form of punishment and does not indicate anything about the outcome of the league’s inquiry.

Awaiting the Outcome of the Next Court Hearing is Bauer.

A woman who claimed Bauer assaulted her during two separate sexual encounters with him last month presented the results of the police investigation into the case to prosecutors. Bauer is accused of choking her unconscious, punching her multiple times, and engaging in anal sex with her without her consent.

After a three-month investigation, the Pasadena Police Department turned over its findings to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, who are currently reviewing the case.

This action occurred a little over a week after a judge had previously dismissed the 27-year-old San Diego woman’s plea for a restraining order against Bauer.

The woman claimed that she went to court to get the injunction because she knew that the criminal investigation against Bauer would take a very long time. She told officers in San Diego about her second contact with Bauer in the middle of May while she was hospitalised, and soon after she met with investigators in Pasadena, where Bauer currently resides.

Judge Dianna Gould-Saltman found that Bauer respected the woman’s boundaries when she set them, but that he couldn’t have known about the ones he violated because the woman hadn’t made them clear. The hearing lasted four days, during which much of the evidence that police investigated and that prosecutors will consider was presented.

When asked what men should do when a woman says “yes” during a sexual encounter, Gould-Saltman reflected on the common belief that women should be believed when they say “no.”

The order petition submitted by the woman was deemed “materially deceptive” by Gould-Saltman.

Shawn Holley, Bauer’s Lawyer, Expressed Appreciation for the Rejection, which was Anticipated.

Major League Baseball is also looking into the 30-year-old pitcher and he might be punished under the league’s Joint Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault, and Child Abuse Policy.

Bauer has stated through agents that all interactions between the two were “wholly consensual” over the nights of April and May spent at his Pasadena residence.
